A Beautiful Day, A Meaningful Impact: 2026 Friendship Golf Tournament

After a day of torrential rain leading up to the event, we were grateful to be welcomed by sunshine and a cool breeze at the beautiful Roanoke Country Club for our 2026 Friendship Golf Tournament.

With 88 golfers joining us on the course, the day was filled with friendly competition, laughter, and connection. But beyond the great round of golf, this event was about something bigger.

Together, we raised more than $30,000 for the Friendship Fund—supporting programs, services, and enhancements that make life better for the residents and patients we serve every day. As a nonprofit, these funds help us go further—ensuring care, comfort, and dignity for those who call Friendship home, even as needs change over time.

“There’s nothing quite like seeing our community come together in this way,” said Development Officer Sarah Stephens. “So many businesses care about the people we serve, and this is one way they show it. We are so grateful for their generosity.”

There’s nothing quite like spending a beautiful day on the course with friends—sharing stories, enjoying the game, and rallying around a shared purpose. Every swing taken and every team that participated helped support our residents, honor the memories of loved ones, and uplift the dedicated employees who provide compassionate care each day. This is what community looks like.
