Final installment of Friendship’s Summer Concert Series on Saturday, September 10 will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association

Details: Friendship Living is proud to bring back The Legacy Motown Revue and their sounds of Motown for the last Summer Concert Series performance on Saturday, September 10 at 6:00 P.M. The concert will be held take place at the Friendship amphitheatre located in the back of Friendship’s campus at 450 Springbeauty Street in Roanoke, Va.
Every concert this summer has featured a different non-profit beneficiary that will receive all proceeds from admission. For September, the recipient will be the Alzheimer’s Association’s Central and Western Virginia Chapter.
As the featured entertainers for the evening, The Legacy Motown Revue performed at Friendship last July. The Legacy pays tribute to legendary icons of Motown, transporting listeners back in time to one of the most influential periods of American musical history playing hits from The Drifters, The Coasters, The Jacksons, Earth Wind & Fire, The Temptations, and so many more. The group is comprised of four talented performers that dance and sing, plus an amazing six-piece horn band.
Open to the public, concert admission is $5 at the door and free for children under the age of 12. All proceeds from admission will be collected to support the work of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Central and Western Virginia Chapter. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for the concert. Food and beverage trucks will be on-site as well during the concert. No outside food will be allowed.
