Eastwood's 6-member bowling team, the Bearcats, beat Our Lady of the Valley's bowling team at a Janaury 12 tournament by a score of 862-836. Eastwood has agreed to host a rematch.
Eastwood's team members range in age from 63 to a 97 year old who is legally blind. The Eastwood Bearcats practice every Monday and Wednesday. According to Eastwood's Activities Director, Keysa Sexton, "Wii bowling is just one of many other Wii sports we will be taking advantage of. Any resident can do this with the patience and support from staff and other residents."
The response from residents to the Wii games offered at Eastwood has been very positive. "We're looking forward to more residents joining in on the fun," said Sexton.
