The Bradley Free Clinic recognized Friendship Retirement Community in their Donor Spotlight section of their June 2009 newsletter. Friendship has supported the Bradley Free Clinic for 15 years and enjoys an ongoing partnership with the clinic. Some excerpts from the newsletter are provided below:
"Friendship Retirement Community's (FRC) strong partnership is one of our key associations. It includes several areas of participation - generous donors, faithful volunteers, and medication samples for our pharmacy. In addition to their annual corporate gifts, FRC staff members have become committed individual donors. Their donations of time, resources and expertise help us provide medical, dental and pharmacy services to our low-income, working patients and their families.
Since this partnership began, FRC has encouraged their staff members, particularly those in the pharmacy to volunteer with us. For many years, our pharmacy has been staffed by volunteer pharmacists from FRC's pharmacy. Many of these individuals work full-time and volunteer with us during our evening medical clinics to fill prescriptions for patients that night.
On a corporate level, they are to be commended for their dedication to grassroots healthcare and their leadership should be recognized for encouraging their staff members to become dedicated volunteers."
